PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Silvan Neadue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dieter Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neadue comes to the cage accompanied by Indestructable - Disturbed. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Silvan Neadue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dieter Schmidt!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neadue throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Schmidt on the side of the head.
Neadue connects with a looping right hand.
Neadue checks the leg kick nicely there.
Neadue swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Schmidt is looking to chop away at Neadue's legs.
A lazy left from Neadue finds it's target.
Neadue throws a sloppy head kick and Schmidt moves out of range easily.
Schmidt flicks out a counter leg kick but Neadue steps away.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Schmidt - that will leave a mark!
Schmidt tries to score with a low kick but Neadue moves his leg out of the way.

and Neadue counters with a takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neadue fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Schmidt is not content to let Neadue control the position.

Neadue wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schmidt, who protects the arm well.

Neadue gets to mount! Schmidt was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Neadue postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Schmidt looks a forlorn figure.

Schmidt defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Neadue.
Schmidt wants to control but Neadue is having none of it.
Schmidt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Neadue. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neadue fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Neadue lands a nice shot to the head.
Neadue has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Schmidt's face.

Schmidt takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Schmidt wants to control but Neadue is having none of it.

Neadue loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Schmidt scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Neadue land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Neadue stands and salutes the crowd.

A relieved looking Silvan Neadue thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
