Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Javan Gavial (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phill Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Brooks's choice of entrance music: Cult Of Personailty. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks shoots in for a takedown but Gavial shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Brooks takes the fight into the clinch.
Gavial prevents a takedown attempt there.
Brooks is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A head punch on the inside from Brooks fails to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brooks is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gavial to keep the fight standing.
Javan Gavial has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phill Brooks.

Brooks drags the fight down to the ground.

Gavial in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gavial working some strikes from top position.
Gavial distracts Brooks with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Gavial working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Brooks's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brooks wants to stand up but Gavial is controlling him.
Gavial has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gavial postures up and lands a big shot to Brooks's brow.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Brooks has eaten all the pies!
Gavial works over Brooks with some ground and pound from guard.
Gavial working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gavial's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Gavial will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Brooks looks winded!
Gavial lands a couple of elbows.
Gavial scoring with punches to the head and body.

Gavial is in close to Brooks's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Gavial scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Brooks is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brooks has his foot on Gavial's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gavial works his way back into a safe position though.
Brooks is still in real trouble! Can Gavial finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gavial seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gavial arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Brooks's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Javan Gavial!
A relieved looking Javan Gavial thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Phill Brooks spoke after the fight, saying 'I Don't Know I Could Go Back To WWE Or Train Harder Than Ever Before And Win My Next Fight'.
