Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Wan Soo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyeis Michel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wan Soo comes to the cage accompanied by Rise of the Northstar - Welcame. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wan Soo pushes Michel up against the cage in a clinch.

Wan Soo swings wildly with an uppercut but Michel uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wan Soo lands a nice uppercut.
Wan Soo scores with a shot to the side of Michel's head.
Wan Soo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Michel backwards.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Michel has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Michel jumps guard but Wan Soo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Michel gets tackled into the cage by Wan Soo. Wan Soo maintains the clinch.

Michel is trying to push Wan Soo away but Wan Soo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Wan Soo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Michels head.
Wan Soo lands with a light punch inside.

Wan Soo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wan Soo misses with a looping right.
Wan Soo checks the leg kick nicely there.
Wan Soo appears to be looking for a big counter.

Michel shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Wan Soo is looking to control Michel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wan Soo avoid being mounted?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Michel looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Michel wants to work for an arm triangle but Wan Soo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wan Soo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Michel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wan Soo wants to get back to his feet.

Wan Soo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Michel is working away from the top position though.

The fight stays on the outside here - Wan Soo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Michel throws a leg kick but Wan Soo sees it coming and moves out of range.

Wan Soo lands with an uppercut that bounces Michel off the cage and back into range.
Jon Wan Soo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michel shoots in looking for a takedown but Wan Soo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Michel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Michel is looking to score with low kicks.
Wan Soo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Michel can do to turn this around?

Wan Soo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Michel checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jon Wan Soo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Michel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wan Soo's guard.

Wan Soo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wan Soo tries to get out of the position.

Michel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wan Soo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Wan Soo wants to control but Michel postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wan Soo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Michel is controlling him well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A lull in the action here as Michel stalls from top position.

Wan Soo wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Michel has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Wan Soo's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Wan Soo is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Michel!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tyeis Michel!
Tyeis Michel seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
