Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevin Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, JJ McNee!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNee thuds his right hand into Smith's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Kevin Smith has been cut.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target.
McNee cracks Smith with a big right hand and Smith goes down!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith is looking to sweep but instead, McNee has passed into half guard.
McNee is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McNee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McNee on the ground.
McNee sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Smith defending well though.
Smith makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Smith.
McNee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
McNee works over Smith with some ground and pound from guard.
Smith utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
McNee throwing strikes but missing.
McNee working some strikes from top position.

Smith is breathing heavily.
McNee throws a big right hand that misses.
McNee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smith works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
BOOM! McNee lands a beautiful left hook that drops Smith. Smith tries to recover but McNee is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Smith lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). JJ McNee!
