Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Channings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Marsden's choice of entrance music: Feiticeira by Deftones. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Channings gets caught flat footed, as Marsden shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Marsden looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Marsden avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Marsden got a little sloppy there for a moment and Channings has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marsden has managed to get both his arms back between Channings's legs - danger averted.
Channings looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marsden is one step ahead there.
Channings has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marsden wants to control from the top but Channings keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marsden is in close to Channings's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Marsden slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Channings content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Marsden has locked up a guillotine! Marsden's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Channings is holding on here and Marsden must be using up a lot of energy. Channings has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Marsden gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
