Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gunter Vogler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Edge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vogler's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Durchblick - Mach Dich Locker. Edge has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christian Edge!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vogler scores with a leg kick.
Edge connects with a single shot there.
Vogler misses with a body kick.
Edge throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vogler on the side of the head.
Edge throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Vogler moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Edge on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Vogler misses with a looping right.
Vogler throws a looping overhand right but Edge ducks down to avoid it.
Edge tries to land a front kick but Vogler steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Edge looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Vogler looks to score with a jab to the body but Edge is just out of range.

Edge looking to score a takedown here. Vogler is defending well but Edge drives through and ends up in Vogler's guard.

Vogler is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Edge presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vogler lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Vogler scores with a shot to the side of Edge's head.
Vogler pushes Edge back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Vogler lands a right hand.
Edge pushes Vogler back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Edge misses with a hook to the ribs.
Vogler misses with the head strike.
Edge fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Vogler definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Vogler struggles to land a body shot inside as Edge controls his hands.

Vogler is trying to trip Edge. He has hold of a leg but Edge is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Vogler persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Edge looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Edge working for submissions but it's allowed Vogler to get to half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Edge works his way to full guard. Good work.

Edge isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vogler stacks Edge on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vogler!
Edge is trying to work for a sweep but Vogler has mounted him!
Vogler prevents Edge from getting the reversal.
Vogler is looking to work his way around to Edge's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Edge is desperately trying to improve his position but Vogler has a good base and remains in mount.
Edge tries to hold on but Vogler postures up.
Edge is looking to get to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vogler tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Vogler goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Edge turns into him and now he's in Vogler's guard.
Vogler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Edge throws a strike but Vogler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Edge is looking for a triangle but Vogler pushes his legs off easily.

Edge wants to reverse the position here. Vogler has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Edge is forced to tap! Edge looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.

An intense looking Gunter Vogler took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Wunderbar! ha ha ha'.
