The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Wilder. Those never looked like landing.
Wilder throws a right hand that Cote ducks under and follows up with a left that Cote also avoids with ease.
Nice takedown defense from Wilder. No joy for Cote on that attempt.
Wilder looks to land a combination. Cote sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Cote gets caught napping as Wilder dives in and scores a takedown. Cote manages to retain guard.

Cote pushes Wilder off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wilder swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Cote counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cote.

Cote has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wilder uses from the top position.

Cote has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wilder can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cote is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Wilder gets to his feet. Cote looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Wilder shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cote napping and manages to drive through into side control!
