The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bill takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bill misses with a takedown attempt

and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jones makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jones.
Jones slowing the pace effectively.

Bill turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Bill misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Bill wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well.
Jones is trying to get back to his feet.
Bill looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Jones is avoiding damage well.
Bill postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bill tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bill.

Bill goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bill but great work by Jones.

Bill is looking for a sweep.
Bill wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Bill has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bill tries to control but Jones manages to take his back.
Bill tries to roll but Jones sticks to his back.
Bill is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Bill is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Jones gets to his feet! The crowd go wild in anticipation of a knockout!
Jones thuds a left hand into Bill's body.

Bill misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bill manages to circle out of the way.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bill sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Bill closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jones kicks off Bill and gets to his feet.
Bill tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Achilles Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don T. Bill.
Bill takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bill looks winded!
Jones connects with a leg kick. Bill looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bill fails with a takedown attempt.
Bill takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Bill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jones dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bill. That did some damage!
Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Bill persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Bill tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bill just manages to avoid it.
Jones connects with a looping right hand.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jones misses with a body kick.
Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Jones on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Bill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Bill does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bill darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Bill into the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones leaves Bill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bill.
Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bill momentarily.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bill.
Bill drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jones defends it well.

and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bill takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Bill walks into a straight right hand from Jones.
Bill throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bill misses with a takedown
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Bill on that attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Achilles Jones dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jones stuns Bill with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jones lands a jab to the nose.
Jones punishes Bill's body with a nice straight punch.
Bill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Bill persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bill momentarily.
It looks like Jones has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Jones lands a really nice looking cross but Bill seems unphased.
Jones feints with a jab and clips Bill right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Bill is sent crashing into the canvas and Jones leaps in for the kill! Bill tries to get to his feet but Jones is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Bill is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Achilles Jones!
