Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Coleman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Shape Shifter!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman tries a head kick but it misses.

Shifter drives through and clinches with Coleman against the cage.
Coleman struggles to land a body shot inside as Shifter controls his hands.
Coleman swings wildly with an uppercut but Shifter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shifter is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Coleman is defending well.
Coleman looking to slow down the pace here.

Shifter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Shifter manages to end up in side control.

Coleman throws Shifter to one side and escapes!
Coleman sizes up Shifter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Greg Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Shifter has closed the distance and engaged Coleman in a clinch.
Coleman tries to throw a body punch but Shifter avoids it by throwing Coleman back against the cage.
Shifter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Coleman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Coleman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Coleman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Coleman tries to keep at a distance but Shifter has taken the fight into the clinch.

Shifter managing to block the knees to the body from Coleman.
Coleman prevents a takedown attempt there.
Greg Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shape Shifter.

Shifter successfully pulls guard.

Coleman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shifter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Coleman has managed to get both his arms back between Shifter's legs - danger averted.

Shifter has an active guard here but Coleman has managed to pass into half guard.
Shifter wants to improve his position but Coleman is controlling well.
Coleman is pressing down on Shifter's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shifter is holding on for now.

Shifter works his way to full guard. Good work.

Shifter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coleman defends well.

Shifter is looking for a triangle but Coleman pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shifter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Coleman has managed to get both his arms back between Shifter's legs - danger averted.
Shifter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Shifter has his foot on Coleman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coleman works his way back into a safe position though.

Shifter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coleman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shifter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Shifter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Shifter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coleman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coleman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Shifter has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Coleman doesn't defend quickly enough and Shifter has managed to lock this one up! Can Coleman escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Shifter on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Shape Shifter!
