The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Slim is landing a low percentage of strikes.

The fighters circle momentarily. Slim darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slim paws at him with a jab and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and James counters with a big head kick but Slim shrugs it off.
James has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Slim finds it's way round the side to connect with James's head.
Jacobi James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Slim is looking to wear down James with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

James has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Slim here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slim batters James with a massive right followed by a huge left! James is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Slim lands a final crushing right hand to drop James to the mat with a gruesome thud! Slim is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
