Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Apeshitt Crazy!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin drives through with a takedown into guard.

Crazy pushes Martin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Martin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Martin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Crazy tries to clinch up.
Crazy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crazy throws a sloppy head kick and Martin moves out of range easily.
Crazy misses with the combination.

Martin forces Crazy back against the cage and clinches.

Martin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Martin sitting in guard here, content to control.
Martin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Martin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Martin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Martin is in close to Crazy's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Martin throws a big right hand that misses.

Crazy is working an open guard so Martin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Crazy. Those never looked like landing.

Martin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Martin stops Crazy from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin lands a couple of elbows.
Martin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Martin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Martin sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Martin distracts Crazy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin lands a couple of elbows.
Crazy has momentary wrist control but Martin slips an elbow through the middle.
Martin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Martin stops Crazy from standing up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Martin lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Martin postures up and lands a big shot to Crazy's brow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Martin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Martin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crazy defends it nicely.

Martin drives through and clinches with Crazy against the cage.
Martin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Crazy pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Martin has Crazy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Crazy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Crazy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Crazy tries to sprawl but Martin drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Crazy tries to kick Martin off in order to stand up. Martin Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Martin controls the position from side control.
Martin working the ground and pound.

Martin stands up.
Crazy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Martin was well out of range. Poor timing from Crazy.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Martin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Crazy's half guard.
Martin slows the pace down in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darren Martin dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Crazy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Martin circles away quickly and effectively.
Martin avoids a punch combination nicely.

Martin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Crazy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Crazy wants to get back to his feet but Martin is dominant here and he's now got Crazy's back!
Martin lands a shot to the head.


It looks like Apeshitt Crazy has been cut.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Crazy is covering up but some of the strikes from Martin are getting through and doing damage.


That has opened up Apeshitt Crazy's cut even more.
Crazy is trying to get back to his feet but Martin has full control of the position and if anything, Crazy has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Martin keeps control of the position easily here as Crazy tries to buck him off.
Martin punishes Crazy with strikes from the back mount.

Martin lands an elbow to the side of the head.


The cut above Apeshitt Crazy's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Apeshitt Crazy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Darren Martin!
A very excited looking Darren Martin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
