Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taran Chula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soares is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Black Sabbath - Iron Man. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chula throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Soares misses with a takedown attempt - Chula sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Chula displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Soares throws out the jab.
Soares on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Soares walks into a stiff left hand from Chula.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chula throws a leg kick which misses Soares's front leg but catches the back leg as Soares tries to avoid it.
Soares lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Soares fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chula defending well as Soares loads up on a big left hand.

Chula clinches up with Soares and pushes him back against the cage.

Soares misses with a hook to the ribs.
Chula is struggling to control the position.

Soares throws a punch but it's blocked by Chula.
Soares blocks a body shot from Chula.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Soares.
I was talking to Chula's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Chula content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Soares is still on wobbly legs! Can Chula finish him?
An inside leg kick lands from Chula.
Soares seems to have recovered his senses.
Soares walks straight into a right hand from Chula - that's dropped him! Chula jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Soares from any more punishment! Soares complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
