Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pappa Smurf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smurf tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Owens was well out of range. Poor timing from Smurf.
Owens is looking for a counter combo.
Owens could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Owens throws a jab when Smurf was well out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smurf, as that shot connected.
Smurf tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Owens was well out of range. Poor timing from Smurf.
Owens takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smurf connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Smurf jabs at Owens's body.
A punch lands to the side of Owens 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Smurf fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Owens looks to clinch
and Smurf counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice body punch from Smurf.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Owens tries to close the distance and clinch but Smurf swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Owens walks into a left hand.
Smurf fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Owens looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Owens takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Smurf takes a swing at Owens's ribcage but misses.
Smurf looks to score with a jab to the body but Owens is just out of range.
Smurf throws a body shot but no joy.
Smurf dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Smurf lands with a good body shot.

Owens has managed to clinch.

Owens breaks from the clinch.
Owens with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Smurf to score with a decent uppercut.
Smurf lands with an overhand left.
Owens misses with a series of wild punches.
A decent looking cross lands there for Smurf.
Pappa Smurf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smurf cracks Owens with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smurf lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Smurf lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Smurf scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Smurf with a jab.

Owens is rocked!
Smurf connects with a body shot that sends Owens's belly button to the back.
The fighters circle momentarily. Smurf darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oh Owens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Owens walks straight into a right hand from Smurf - that's dropped him! Smurf jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Owens from any more punishment! Owens complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
