The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ganbaatar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ganbaatar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

It looks like Steven Richardson has been cut.
Richardson wants to get back to full guard.
Richardson is working hard here to advance position.
Ganbaatar wants to take a breather but Richardson is having none of it.
Richardson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ganbaatar is working away from the top position though.

Richardson pushes Ganbaatar off and gets back to his feet.

Ganbaatar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Richardson to the ground. Ganbaatar is now in Richardson's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Richardson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ganbaatar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ganbaatar trying to control but Richardson is working from the bottom.
Ganbaatar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Richardson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ganbaatar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ganbaatar postures up and lands a big shot to Richardson's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ganbaatar passes Richardson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Richardson has hold of Ganbaatar's hands but Ganbaatar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Richardson is rocked!

Ganbaatar is trying to work for a kimura but Richardson is defending well.
Richardson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ganbaatar scores with a big shot! Richardson's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Richardson! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Askaa Ganbaatar!
After winning the bout, Askaa Ganbaatar thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
