Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dimitrious Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Cowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dimitrious Cruz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dimitrious Cruz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cowell scores with a body shot.
Cowell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cowell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cruz paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cowell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cruz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cowell sprawls well. Cowell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimitrious Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cowell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cruz to the mat! Cruz manages to get full guard.

Cruz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Cowell frees his head nicely. Oh but Cruz has switched to an armbar! Cowell is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
