The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Gordon.
Gordon misses with a body kick.
Pete bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gordon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Mel Gordon has been cut.
Gordon throws a quick inside leg kick.
A solid body kick from Gordon.
Gordon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gordon lands a nice hook to Pete's body. Pete takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gordon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gordon feints a jab promting Pete to slip. Gordon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pete slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gordon moves away from the strike by Pete.

Pete feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gordon sprawling to the canvas! Gordon rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pete finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gordon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Gordon misses with a head kick.

Pete lands a big right hand that sends Gordon crashing to the mat! Pete stays standing though and waves Gordon back to his feet!

Gordon is rocked!
Pete throws an uppercut from hell that sends Gordon clean off his feet! He's out cold! Pete stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
