The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meida misses with a left hand
and Zolner counters with a nice uppercut.
Meida throws a shot from downtown. Zolner moves away and avoids it.
Zolner ducks under a wild hook from Meida.
Zolner with a poor takedown
and Meida counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Timur Zolner has been cut.
Meida throws a hook but Zolner avoids it easily.
Meida throws a jab but it's blocked by Zolner.
As Meida backs off Zolner throws a huge counter combo but Meida manages to avoid it all.
Nice shot by Zolner.
Meida seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Zolner misses with a hook.
Zolner walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Zolner throws a hook but Meida avoids it easily.
It looked like Meida was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Zolner.
Zolner lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Meida throws a big shot that misses.
Meida fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zolner manages to avoid it.
Meida on the wrong end of a nice jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zolner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meida is fending him off so far but Zolner persists. Nope, Meida circles away and we're back to standing.
Zolner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meida punishes Zolner's body with a nice straight punch.
Meida throws a looping overhand right but Zolner ducks down to avoid it.
Nice uppercut there from Meida.
Zolner shoots and misses
and Meida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Thiago Meida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Zolner.
Meida stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Meida wants it to stay on the feet.
Zolner walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Meida swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Thiago Meida decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
