The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hager misses with a looping left.
Hager shoots in for a takedown but Juricic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Juricic wants to stand and escape but Hager is having none of it.

Juricic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hager on the ground.
Juricic is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

We've been hearing good reports from Juricic's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Juricic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hager is trying to stand.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Hager manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Juricic on his heels. He'll look to pass Juricic's guard now, I'm sure.

Hager is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hager is keen to just control but Juricic is a slippery customer.
