Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Leen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Ethan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leen comes to the cage accompanied by Marine Corps Hymn. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Leen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Ethan!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leen tries to land a front kick but Ethan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ethan throws a head kick that misses.
Leen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ethan misses with a body shot.

Ethan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ethan lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leen keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leen wants to improve his position but Ethan is controlling well.
Well, if Ethan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ethan throwing shots but Leen is blocking nicely.
Leen trying to get back to full guard but Ethan takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ethan raining down hammerfists from mount.
Ethan with a couple of short strikes.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ethan working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Ethan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Leen's face.

Leen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ethan tries to control but Leen wriggling away.
Ethan scores with a couple of good head shots there.


Leen is rocked!
Leen takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ethan's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Ethan!
An out of breath Ryan Ethan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
