Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Owen Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Farmer Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Owen Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Farmer Bob!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Topper Green and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bob has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rivers regains guard immediately.

Rivers tries to pull guard but Bob holds him up against the cage and eventually Rivers drops back down to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rivers is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bob's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bob's back!

Bob is trying to get back to his feet but Rivers has full control of the position and if anything, Bob has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rivers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rivers tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bob has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Bob pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Rivers moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bob trying to control the position from guard on top but Rivers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bob has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rivers is proving hard to escape from.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rivers is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bob off and has taken his back!

Rivers gets his hands free as Bob looks to control.

Farmer Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rivers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bob looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rivers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rivers is trying to maintain the position but Bob is very close to passing his half guard.

Bob is working Rivers over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bob has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rivers controls Bob momentarily but Bob frees himself.
Rivers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rivers is on top in guard.

Rivers creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bob sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Rivers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bob is one step ahead there.

Rivers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I would just about give that final round to Farmer Bob.
Well Bob has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
