Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lenn Colsoer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Palma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renato Palma has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lenn Colsoer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Renato Palma!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colsoer dives in and grabs Palma's left leg, looking for a takedown. Palma pushes down on Colsoer's head and hops out.
Colsoer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Colsoer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Palma quickly recovers to half guard.
Colsoer is looking to take a break and control but Palma is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Colsoer wants to get back to his feet.
Colsoer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Colsoer prevents Palma from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Colsoer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Palma is trying to drag Colsoer to the mat but Colsoer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Palma manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Colsoer on his heels. He'll look to pass Colsoer's guard now, I'm sure.
Palma is standing up over Colsoer. Colsoer looks to escape but Palma dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Colsoer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Palma thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Palma wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Colsoer, who protects the arm well.
Colsoer is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Palma asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Colsoer tries to bench press Palma off him but Palma keeps the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Palma working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Palma wants to control but Colsoer is keeping him busy.
Colsoer is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Palma is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Colsoer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Palma avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Colsoer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Palma tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Colsoer is in Palma's guard.
Colsoer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Palma on the ground.
Colsoer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palma swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Palma keeping moving, preventing Colsoer from controlling successfully.
Colsoer is looking to pass into half guard but Palma pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Palma is in guard.


Colsoer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Palma defends it easily.
Palma controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Colsoer pushes Palma off looking to stand but Palma dives back in and keeps control.

Palma is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Colsoer sees it coming and defends easily.

Palma seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Colsoer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
