The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Cortez closes the distance and clinches.
Cortez jumps guard but Correa stands there with Cortez around his waist. Cortez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cortez is trying to break the clinch but Correa has him pressed against the cage.
Cortez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Correa goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cortez prevents it.

Cortez successfully pulls guard.
Cortez striking off his back but it's not causing Correa any problems.
Correa won't allow Cortez to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Correa trying to control but Cortez is working from the bottom.

Correa is looking to advance position but Cortez has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Correa can't escape the position.
Correa sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Correa wants to get back to full guard.
Correa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cortez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cortez's back!

Correa is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cortez has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Correa sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Cortez taps out!
