Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Meyer Squibb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Project Joshua!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Squibb chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Squibb uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Joshua.
Project Joshua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Squibb tries to close the distance and clinch but Joshua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Squibb moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Squibb scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Joshua on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Joshua misses with a wild combination.
Squibb blocks a jab.
Squibb moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Joshua walks forward, straight into a front kick from Squibb.
Joshua stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Joshua wants it to stay on the feet.
Squibb tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Joshua defends well and Squibb ends up having to push Joshua into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Squibb instigates a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Meyer Squibb has been cut.
Joshua stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Squibb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Squibb walks into a jab.
Squibb showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Joshua.
Squibb throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Squibb fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Meyer Squibb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Squibb doesn't manage to clinch there - Joshua circles away.

Joshua cracks Squibb with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Squibb looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Joshua finish him?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Squibb blocks the body kick.
A low kick from Squibb misses
and Joshua counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Project Joshua!
