Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Synyx Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall has chosen In Scarlet Storm as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dean Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Synyx Dall!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason misses with a body kick.
Mason lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A slow jab from Dall misses its intended target.
Mason tried to counter with a leg kick but Dall avoided it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mason, as that shot connected.
A shot to the liver by Mason. Beautiful body shot.
Dall moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Mason bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dall's head backwards.
Mason catches Dall with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A telegraphed right hand from Dall misses the target.
Mason throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Dall drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mason defends it well.
Mason lands a lovely overhand right.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dall checks a leg kick.
Mason scores with a hook to the body. Dall takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A big left from Mason misses.

Dall checks a low kick from Mason.
Dall was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Mason scores with a sloppy right hand. Dall should have avoided that one.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mason.
Dall misses with a looping right.
A low kick from Dall is predictable there
and Mason makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Dall moves away from the strike by Mason.
Mason connects with a looping right hand.
Dall keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Dall on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Mason throws a right hand that Dall ducks under and follows up with a left that Dall also avoids with ease.
A nice inside leg kick there by Mason. That's going to slow Dall down.
Mason has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Studio in the buildup to the fight.
Dall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mason moves away.

Mason throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Dall changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Dall ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dall looks to score with a jab to the body but Mason is just out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mason throws a low kick but Dall avoids it.
Dean Mason is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mason throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dall stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mason tried to score with a low kick but Dall checks it.
Dall on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mason connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dall. Dall circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mason pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dall throws a wild body kick that Mason sees coming a mile off.
Mason scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Dall moves away from the strike by Mason.
Mason looks to land a combination but Dall avoids it well.

Mason throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Dall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mason's guard.
Dall passes Mason's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dall is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mason defends it well.
Dall trying to pass the guard but Mason defending well.

Dall is working for a submission of some sort.

Dall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mason wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Mason dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mason's sensitive parts.
Dall swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mason throws a low kick but Dall moves out of range easily.

Dall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dall is looking to advance position but Mason won't allow it.

Dall seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mason is just riding it out for now. Dall eventually gives up the hold.

Mason regains full guard. Nicely done.

Dall throws a big right hand that misses.

Mason looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dall wants to pass the guard but Mason is keeping the position.
Dall is pushing down on Mason's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mason is fighting to maintain full guard but Dall has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mason knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dall on the ground.

Dall seems to be working for a kimura but Mason defends the submission attempt.

Dall is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mason has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dall is pressing down on Mason's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mason is holding on for now.

Mason is defending against the submission attempts here by Dall.

Dall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mason won't allow Dall to pass to mount.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dall fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Mason misses with a wild body shot.
Dall keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mason.
Mason throws a hook to the side of Dall's head but Dall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dall misses with a shot to the body
enabling Mason to counter with a crisp jab.
Dall blocks a head kick by Mason.
Mason looks to land a left hand but Dall moved out of range nicely.
Dall is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Mason with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Synyx Dall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Mason takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Mason throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Dall thuds his right hand into Mason's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Mason throws a hook but Dall blocks it.
Dall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dall fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mason looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dean Mason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dall tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

A nice inside leg kick there by Mason. That's going to slow Dall down.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dall. Mason does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dall has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mason.

Dall shoots in and gets a takedown into Mason's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dall is fighting to break Mason's control of his arms but Mason is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dall is looking to advance position but Mason has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Dall keeps trying to improve his position.
Dall gets back to half guard.

Dall looking for submissions off his back.
Mason is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dean Mason.
I think Mason has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
