Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKnight feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
McKnight throws an elbow that misses. Mcdowell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McKnight's guard. Nice move by Mcdowell!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McKnight really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcdowell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McKnight ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McKnight no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

McKnight wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mcdowell is now in half guard.

Mcdowell decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

McKnight gets tackled into the cage by Mcdowell. Mcdowell maintains the clinch.

McKnight is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mcdowell presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Mcdowell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McKnight throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mcdowell seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and McKnight counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mcdowell scores with a kick to the midsection.
McKnight shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcdowell napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mcdowell throws McKnight to one side and escapes!
McKnight is breathing heavily.

McKnight wants the takedown. Mcdowell is fighting it off but McKnight persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mcdowell's guard against the cage.

McKnight gets caught flat footed, as Mcdowell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
