The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carpenter avoids it really well and circles away.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carpenter misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carpenter has his takedown stuffed
letting Jones counter with a right hand.

It looks like Bryce Carpenter has been cut.
Jones wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jones lands with a nice body punch.
Carpenter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Carpenter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Carpenter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carpenter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!

Jones makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jones wants to control from the top but Carpenter keeps moving.
Jones content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Carpenter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carpenter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Carpenter's legs - danger averted.

Jones lands with a right that hurts Carpenter. Carpenter looks to clinch but Jones throws a short knee that drops Carpenter. This one is all over!
