Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Espo Jaksinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Espo Jaksinen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaksinen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jaksinen slaps away a takedown attempt from Soderberg, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Soderberg throws a leg kick that is checked
and Jaksinen counters with a straight right hand.
Jaksinen tries to clinch up.
Espo Jaksinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soderberg takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Soderberg shoots in but no luck this time.
Soderberg slips a straight right by Jaksinen.
A quick step to the side and Soderberg tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jaksinen throws a good cross that connects.
Soderberg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Jaksinen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jaksinen bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jaksinen throws a big counter head kick but Soderberg avoids it with no problem.

Soderberg ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jaksinen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Soderberg on the side of the head.

Jaksinen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Soderberg on the side of the head.

and Soderberg counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A punch lands to the side of Jaksinen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Soderberg throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Soderberg fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Soderberg uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jaksinen.
Jaksinen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jaksinen scores with a decent looking hook.
Soderberg blocks a head kick by Jaksinen.
Jaksinen lands a big head kick that sends Soderberg tumbling to the mat! Jaksinen takes a step backwards and waves Soderberg back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Soderberg is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jaksinen stuns Soderberg with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Soderberg avoids the head kick by Jaksinen.
Jaksinen lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Soderberg head around and knocks him out cold! Jaksinen hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Espo Jaksinen!
