PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Berdnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pate Huntter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berdnikov thuds his right hand into Huntter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jab, jab by Huntter - just one landing.
Huntter misses with a leg kick
and Berdnikov counters with a left to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Berdnikov. Huntter does a little dance to reset his feet.
As Berdnikov backs off Huntter throws a huge counter combo but Berdnikov manages to avoid it all.
Huntter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Berdnikov's head.

and Huntter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Berdnikov darts in looking for a takedown but Huntter gets double underhooks and turns Berdnikov into the cage.

Huntter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Berdnikov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Huntter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Berdnikov is working away from the top position though.

Huntter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pate Huntter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
