These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonaparte is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dood.
Bonaparte thows a body kick. Dood tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Bonaparte scores with a leg kick.

Dood appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dood takes a swing at Bonaparte's ribcage but misses.

Bonaparte is looking for a sweep. Dood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bonaparte is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dood has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Dood is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bonaparte knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bonaparte really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oh but Dood is tightening it up a little... Bonaparte has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
