The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallari is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wise sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mallari gets caught napping as Wise dives in and scores a takedown. Mallari manages to retain guard.
Wise won't allow Mallari to sweep him here.
Mallari is trying to control the position but Wise postures up.
Wise would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mallari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wise. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mallari darts in looking for a takedown but Wise gets double underhooks and turns Mallari into the cage.

and Wise connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jacob Wise has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Mallari.
Mallari shoots in but no luck this time.

Wise tries a head kick but it misses.

Mallari closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wise to the mat! Wise manages to get full guard.

Mallari has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Wise celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
