The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Davidson has closed the distance and engaged Dodson in a clinch.
Dodson throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Davidson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Dodson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dodson manages to break the clinch.

Dodson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Davidson is looking to stand up but Dodson isn't so interested in that idea.
Dodson connects with a couple of short punches.
Dodson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Davidson's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dodson prevents Davidson from getting back to his feet.
Dodson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Davidson is trying to break free.
Davidson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dodson avoids it.

Dodson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Dodson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Davidson wants to stand and escape but instead Dodson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Dodson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Davidson wants to stand but Dodson is controlling the position.
Dodson stands up over Davidson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd cheers as Davidson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dodson doesn't seem phased though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dodson connects with a nice short shot to Davidson's temple.

Dodson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dodson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Davidson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
