PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cruz White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin BK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes to the cage accompanied by ASAP Ferg - Dump Dump. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cruz White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Benjamin BK!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Ben Hemmingworth and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from BK finds it's target.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as BK checks a leg kick.
BK checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
BK with the counter takedown but White avoids it easily.
BK moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
BK has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
BK checks the leg kick nicely there.
BK lands a jab to White's midsection.
BK swings and misses with a hook to the body.
BK throws a nice looking combination but White bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A counter left hand to the body from White misses its target.
White has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Unicorn Powered Fighting in the buildup to the fight.
White takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A solid body kick from White.
BK jabs White right on the nose. White blinks but takes it well.
BK misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
White feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits BKs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
White throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
BK comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
BK swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
White ducks under a wild hook from BK.
BK takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
BK clobbers White with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

White uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from BK.
BK looks to land a right hand but White moved out of range.
White is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

White throws a hook but BK avoids it easily.

Sloppy strikes from BK. Those never looked like landing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as BK accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
White utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells BK's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
White is adopting a defensive guard.
BK postures up and lands a big shot to White's brow.

BK has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
White utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
BK postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
White seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
BK keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of White's head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

BK dives in for a single leg takedown but White sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Benjamin BK showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

BK fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and White has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A jab lands there for White.
BK shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily.
White takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
White is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
BK steps to the side to avoid the strikes from White.
BK looks to land a left hand but White moved out of range nicely.
White misses the body punch
and BK counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
BK misses with a hook. White ducked under it nicely.
The crowd cheers as BK lands an impressive looking overhand right. White doesn't seem phased though.

and BK finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Benjamin BK.
Well BK has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
