Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Josh Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner's entrance music is Next Episode by Dr. Dre. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miguel Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Turner.
Hernandez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Turner throws a series of punches but Hernandez avoids them all with ease.
Turner throws a poor cross that misses
and Hernandez counters with a left to the body.
Hernandez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Turner at a distance.
Turner looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The fighters circling - Turner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Turner moves out of range as Hernandez strikes.
Hernandez lands a nice shot that snaps Turner's head back.

Turner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hernandez tries to bench press Turner off him but Turner keeps the position.
Hernandez stops Turner from passing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Turner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner tries to advance to mount but can't.
Hernandez has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
You can see the frustration on Hernandez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A lull in the action here.
Turner trying to control the position but Hernandez is working away.
Turner takes a little break here. Hernandez wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Turner trying to control the action but Hernandez is working from the bottom.
Hernandez is trying to get back to half guard.
Hernandez is trying to work for a sweep but Turner has mounted him!

Hernandez tries to hold on but Turner postures up.

Turner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Turner is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Turner content just to control the position here.

Turner moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hernandez has worked his arm free - good work by Hernandez!
Turner tries to move to mount but Hernandez blocks the move with his legs.
Hernandez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Turner is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hernandez wants to get back to full guard.
Turner trying to control from half guard but Hernandez is working away.
Turner wants to free his trapped foot but Hernandez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Turner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hernandez is just riding it out for now. Turner eventually gives up the hold.
Turner is pressing down on Hernandez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hernandez is holding on for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Turner dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Hernandez has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Turner.
Hernandez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Turner walks into a stiff left hand from Hernandez.
Hernandez throws a poor cross that misses

and Turner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hernandez won't be happy with that.
Hernandez tries to bench press Turner off him but Turner keeps the position.
Turner wants to control but Hernandez is keeping him busy.

Turner is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hernandez is trying to escape and Turner transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hernandez is forced to tap! Nice work there by Turner! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Josh Turner!
