Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Filibert Koopman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Filibert Koopman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Butler!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Koopman counters with a stiff right hand.
Butler shoots in for a takedown but Koopman shows good takedown defense.
Koopman is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Butler gets a double leg takedown into Koopman's guard.
Butler is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Koopman throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Butler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Koopman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Butler has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Let's hope that Butler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Butler shoots in for a takedown but Koopman shows good takedown defense.
Filibert Koopman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Butler.
Butler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koopman swivels and escapes.
Koopman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Koopman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

and Koopman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Koopman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Koopman appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Koopman moves into range and connects with a jab.
Koopman fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Butler is out of range.
Koopman lands a nice shot to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Koopman. No joy for Butler on that attempt.
It looked like Koopman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Butler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Koopman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Butler shoots in looking for a takedown but Koopman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Butler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Butler shoots in and drives through. Koopman sprawls well.

and Koopman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Koopman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Koopman throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Butler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Koopman's half guard.
Koopman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Koopman tries to get out of the position.

Butler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Filibert Koopman dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Butler thows a huge punch but Koopman dodges it nicely.

Koopman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Butler can do to turn this around?

Koopman is rocked!
Butler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Oh Koopman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Butler drops an elbow to the side of Koopman's head.
Well, if Butler is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
More stalling from Butler.
Butler lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Koopman quite badly. Koopman pulls Butler in close trying to recover. Butler postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Koopman on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Koopman doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Butler!
