Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Squiggy Squirrelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeffrey Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Squiggy Squirrelly!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Squirrelly.
Taylor stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Squirrelly.
Squirrelly shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Taylor eats them both and turns towards Squirrelly to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Taylor gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Squirrelly.
Squiggy Squirrelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Squirrelly feints and then cracks Taylor's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Taylor down.
Squirrelly throws a leg kick which misses Taylor's front leg but catches the back leg as Taylor tries to avoid it.
Squirrelly throws a front kick aimed at Taylor's knee but Taylor avoids it well.
Taylor fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Squirrelly cracks Taylor with a right hand to the side of the head.
Squirrelly misses with a looping left.
Taylor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Squirrelly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taylor somewhat.
Squirrelly throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Squirrelly throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Taylor takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Good leg kick by Squirrelly there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Squirrelly throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily.
Squirrelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taylor was well out of range. Poor timing from Squirrelly.
Taylor half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Squirrelly looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Squirrelly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.
Taylor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Squirrelly.
Taylor's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Squirrelly connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Taylor scrambles back to his feet.

and Taylor counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Squirrelly!

Taylor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Squirrelly is looking for a sweep.

We've been hearing good reports from Taylor's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Squirrelly keeps working.
Squirrelly wants to stand back up but Taylor manages to pass into side control.

Squirrelly takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Squirrelly is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Taylor is controlling him well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Squirrelly is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Taylor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Taylor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Squirrelly throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Squirrelly scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Squirrelly stuns Taylor with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Taylor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Squirrelly throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Squirrelly tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Taylor takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Taylor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Squirrelly swivels and escapes.
Squirrelly has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Taylor takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Squirrelly pushes Taylor off and gets back to his feet.

Squirrelly explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Squiggy Squirrelly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Taylor stands up over Squirrelly, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

I've got Squirrelly winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
