The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Chris Dean and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Reaper darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The Reaper trying to control from half guard but Ward is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Reaper misses with a head shot. Ward uses the momentum to regain guard.
The Reaper is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The Reaper stops Ward from standing up.
The Reaper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Reaper lands a couple of elbows.
