Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zaine Barr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Barr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Barr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Duran has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barr has managed to get both his arms back between Duran's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duran is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barr defends well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Duran has his foot on Barr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barr works his way back into a safe position though.

Duran is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barr defends well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Duran is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Duran is sitting in close to Barr's body. Barr has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Duran is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Duran is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Barr.
