The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Virastuk fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Morais on the side of the head.

It looks like Mutant Morais has been cut.

Virastuk clinches up against the cage.

Morais's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Virastuk looks to throw the jab but Morais is out of range.
Virastuk tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Morais counters with a left to the body.
Morais swings for the body but Virastuk moves out of range.
Morais lunges at Virastuk with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Virastuk's hand.

It looks like Vasily Virastuk has been cut.
Virastuk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Virastuk and Morais goes tumbling to the canvas! Virastuk follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Virastuk stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Virastuk closes the distance and clinches.

Virastuk tries to clinch up but Morais circles away and keeps his distance.

Morais throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Virastuk.
Morais tries to bum rush Virastuk with a series of wild strikes but Virastuk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Morais throws out a loose jab but Virastuk uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vasily Virastuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Virastuk moves into the clinch.
Virastuk just leaning against Morais, taking a breather.
Virastuk swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Virastuk tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Morais tries to circle away but Virastuk has him pinned against the cage.
Virastuk lands with a right to the head.

Morais tries to break the clinch but Virastuk is controlling the position.

The fighters are battling for dominant position up against the cage here. Virastuk manages to get control of his opponent's head and throws a big knee - Morais drops to the canvas! He's done! Virastuk goes wild and celebrates with his corner - this is a big victory for him and to get the win in such devastating fashion will certainly boost his reputation amongst the fans!
