Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artem Levin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy McLarnin!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Levin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McLarnin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Levin moves into the clinch.
McLarnin told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

McLarnin breaks from the clinch.
A combination from McLarnin does no damage.
Levin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

enabling McLarnin to counter with a crisp jab.

and McLarnin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Levin pushes McLarnin off but McLarnin dives into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Levin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Let's hope that McLarnin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from McLarnin.
It looks like McLarnin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

McLarnin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Levin darts in and clinches McLarnin up against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Levin looks to throw an elbow but misses.

McLarnin dodges an elbow strike from Levin.
McLarnin throws an elbow but it's blocked.

McLarnin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Levin moves in looking to clinch but McLarnin pushes him off.
A cross from McLarnin lands.
McLarnin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Levin under the eye.
Levin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McLarnin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McLarnin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McLarnin keeps the fight on the outside.
Levin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Levin doesn't manage to clinch there - McLarnin circles away.

McLarnin unleashes a big counter combination but Levin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Levin finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under McLarnin's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Levin falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy McLarnin!
