The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonnell looks to land a left hand but Sinytsyn moved out of range nicely.

Sinytsyn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McDonnell is landing a low percentage of strikes.

McDonnell went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

It looked like McDonnell wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McDonnell tried to counter with a leg kick but Sinytsyn avoided it.
Sinytsyn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McDonnell can pounce on him.
Sinytsyn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McDonnell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sinytsyn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McDonnell.
Sinytsyn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sinytsyn jabs McDonnell to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McDonnell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sinytsyn is looking to slow McDonnell down with leg kicks.
Sinytsyn paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Sinytsyn looks to score with a jab to the body but McDonnell is just out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McDonnell feints and then cracks Sinytsyn's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sinytsyn down.

Sinytsyn walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Sinytsyn is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
