Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Quint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jong Un Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Quint could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jong Un Kim's chin.

With a record of 23 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Sam Quint!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jong Un Kim!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quint misses with a double jab.
Kim thows a leg kick but Quint checks it
letting Quint counter with a right hand.
Quint lands a jab.
A shot to the liver by Quint. Beautiful body shot.
Quint lands a really nice looking cross but Kim seems unphased.
Quint scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kim doesn't seem bothered though.
Quint throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kim sizes up Quint with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Quint definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Quint connects with a solid leg kick.
Kim has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Quint throws a body punch but Kim moves out of range.
Kim uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Quint has time to react.


It looks like Sam Quint has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Quint thows a leg kick but Kim checks it
and Kim counters with a good low kick that Quint was not able to check.

Quint lands a glancing blow to the side of Kim's head.
Quint takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kim waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Quint.
Quint connects with a solid leg kick.
Quint throws a body kick that misses.
Kim ducks under a wild hook from Quint.
Kim misses with a hook. Quint ducked under it nicely.
Quint scores with a nice body kick.
Quint moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Quint lands with an uppercut that bounces Kim off the cage and back into range.
Quint lunges at Kim with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kim's hand.
Kim ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quint feints and then cracks Kim's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kim down.

and Kim counters with a low kick, right behind Quint 's knee.

The fighters circling - Kim throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

A lazy body kick from Quint
and Kim counters with a nice leg kick.
Kim misses with a straight right.
Quint scores with a head kick. Kim tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Sam Quint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quint turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Quint rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kim counters with an outside leg kick.
Kim throws a hook but Quint blocks it.
Kim throws out a powerful jab.
Kim checks the leg kick.

Quint misses with a body kick.
Quint catches Kim with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Quint lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Quint wants to slow Kim down by chopping away at his legs.
A little jabbing left from Kim on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kim has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Quint finds it's way round the side to connect with Kim's head.
Quint throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Quint misses with a looping left.
Kim lands a nice looking body shot.
Quint is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Quint throws the left hand but Kim avoids the punch easily.
A little jabbing left from Kim on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kim uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quint throws a lazy right hand but Kim sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kim swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kim jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Quint lands with a thumping leg kick.
Quint is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Kim on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Quint throws a hook but Kim avoids it easily.
Kim throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kim misses with a jab to the body
and Quint cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Quint throws a big shot that misses.
Kim takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Quint paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Quint throws a body kick that misses.
Quint throws a head kick but Kim moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Quint dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sam Quint's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kim connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Quint momentarily.
Kim with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Quint to score with a decent uppercut.
Quint thuds a left hand into Kim's body.
Quint scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Quint misses with a lunging right hand
and Kim counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Quint takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Quint lands a head shot.
Quint is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kim checks a low kick from Quint.
Kim cracks the inside of Quint's front leg.
Kim moves out of range of the body kick.
It seemed like Kim was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Sam Quint is winning the standup battle so far.
Kim avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim tries to land a leg kick but Quint saw it coming and moves away.

Kim lands a big uppercut and Quint crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Quint looks OK. Kim waves Quint back to his feet!


Quint is rocked!


Sam Quint's cut is getting worse.
A looping hook to the body misses from Quint. Kim does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oh Quint is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Quint waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kim.
Quint backing away here, and Kim unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

and Quint counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Quint connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Quint ducks into an uppercut from Kim and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

Jong Un Kim is the new bantamweight champion!
A relieved looking Jong Un Kim thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
