Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jada Mbaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jada Mbaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Seth Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mbaa digs a good body shot into Coleman's ribs.

Mbaa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coleman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Coleman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mbaa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Coleman felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Mbaa staying calm.
The ground and pound from Mbaa seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Coleman is trying to escape the position but Mbaa is controlling the position.
Coleman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mbaa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mbaa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mbaa postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Coleman is looking to regain half guard here but Mbaa keeps moving and retains side control.
Mbaa tries to score with some ground and pound. Coleman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mbaa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A lull in the action here.
Coleman pushes Mbaa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mbaa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Coleman seems a little lost for a moment, as Mbaa dominates the positioning.
Coleman tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Mbaa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mbaa works to advance to full mount. Coleman defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Mbaa manages to capitalize on a mistake by Coleman to take his back!

Coleman sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Mbaa dives in for a single leg takedown but Coleman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mbaa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mbaa swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Coleman looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Coleman seems to have recovered his senses.
Coleman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


It looks like Jada Mbaa has been cut.

Mbaa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Coleman is looking to stand back up but Mbaa counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Coleman.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Coleman scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Mbaa manages to mount him!
Mbaa has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coleman's face.
