Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers tries to close the distance and clinch but Karlson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Powers shoots in for a takedown but Karlson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Powers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Powers clinches.
Powers goes for a takedown in the clinch but Karlson prevents it.
Peter Karlson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Powers.
Powers wants to get back to striking at distance but Karlson won't allow it.

Karlson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powers on the ground.

Karlson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Powers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Karlson wants to control but Powers is keeping him busy.

Powers has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Karlson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Powers has tightened it up now! Karlson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
