The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Friel Jr moves into the clinch.

Friel Jr tightens his grip and picks King up, before dumping him to the ground. King manages to land in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth.
Friel Jr stands and throws King's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Friel Jr wants to control but King is keeping him busy.
Friel Jr fails to land a wild elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Friel Jr wants to stand but King has his arm trapped.
Friel Jr is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

King is trying to work for a sweep but Friel Jr has mounted him!

Friel Jr thows a huge punch but King dodges it nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

King with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Friel Jr throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As Friel Jr backs off King throws a huge counter combo but Friel Jr manages to avoid it all.
Friel Jr shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense.

Friel Jr drives through and clinches with King against the cage.

King looking to pass the guard.

King cracks Friel Jr with a solid left hand.

King keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Friel Jr's head.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Friel Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Friel Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.
King tries to free his leg and advance position but Friel Jr is retaining full guard.

King postures up and lands a big shot to Friel Jr's brow.


Friel Jr is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
King works over Friel Jr with some ground and pound from guard.
Oh Friel Jr is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
King postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Friel Jr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

King is working Friel Jr over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
King postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Friel Jr covers up, he's hurt! King keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from King and the ref steps in to end the fight! King can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
