Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ste Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones wants to clinch up but Shuman keeps it at a distance.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Shuman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Shuman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jones scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Shuman manages to mount him!
Shuman is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones is bucking up trying to escape but Shuman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Shuman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Shuman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off.
Shuman lands a couple of good shots and Jones has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Shuman is persistently looking for the submission but Jones is defending it well.

Shuman punishes Jones with strikes from the back mount.
Jones is trying to remain composed but Shuman is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Jones is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Shuman gets his way!

Shuman is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jones has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
