The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milne's jab looks to have found its range, popping Meida under the eye.
Meida misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Milne scores with a three punch combo!
Milne fakes the leg kick and cracks Meida in the body.
A swing and a miss from Milne.
Milne tries to clinch but Meida is having none of it.
Meida doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Milne blocks a head kick by Meida.
A little feinted left hand from Milne on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Milne connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Meida momentarily.

letting Milne counter with a right hand.

Meida looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Milne has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Milne counters with an outside leg kick.
Milne tries a head kick but it misses.
Thiago Meida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Meida connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Meida uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Milne.

Milne lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Milne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Milne sends Meida crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Milne is motioning to the referee to let Meida up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Milne fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Meida square on the jaw! Damn, Meida is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
