Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Batts and Kasey Scorpion. Batts comes to the cage accompanied by Midnight City - By: M83. Scorpion comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jiu Jitsu kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kasey Scorpion will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 wins, 4 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of London, Peter Batts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 wins, 2 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Tokyo, Kasey Scorpion!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorpion moves out of range of the strikes.
A head kick misses from Batts.
Batts just misses with a punch to the body.
A big left from Batts misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Batts fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Scorpion throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Scorpion scores with a shot to the body.
Batts staying out of range there.

Batts drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Batts working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Batts working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Batts works to advance to full mount. Scorpion defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Batts is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Scorpion is surviving well by controlling Batts's body position as best he can.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Scorpion tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Batts looking for a guillotine from mount but Scorpion is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scorpion sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Batts throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Scorpion trying to hold on to Batts's head to control him but Batts postures up.
Batts is looking to advance position but Scorpion won't allow it.

Batts looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Scorpion wants to improve his position but Batts is controlling well.
Scorpion gets back to full guard.
Scorpion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've been hearing that Batts has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Batts chips away with some ground and pound.

Scorpion has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Batts doesn't defend quickly enough and Scorpion has managed to lock this one up! Can Batts escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Scorpion on a fantastic submission victory.
