Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Altare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davison has chosen Not Today by Sevendust as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Altare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Davison!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Altare ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davison moves away.
Altare has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym of the Gods in the buildup to the fight.
Davison has a takedown stuffed.
Altare wants to clinch.
Jab from Altare.


It looks like Chris Davison has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davison keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Altare.
Altare misses with a hook.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Davison! But no joy.
Good shot there by Altare.

Altare moves into range and clinches up with Davison.
Davison blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Altare misses with a punch to the body.
Altare goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Altare lands a body punch in the clinch.
Altare lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A head punch on the inside from Altare fails to land.
Altare lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Altare fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Altare works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Altare misses with a hook from the clinch.

Altare tries a body shot but Davison blocks it.
Davison blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Davison has hold of one of Altare's legs. Altare is fighting the takedown attempt but Davison gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Altare wriggles free and stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davison slips a straight right by Altare.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davison circles away from the clinch attempt.
Davison throws a counter combo.
Davison bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Davison darts in looking for a takedown but Altare gets double underhooks and turns Davison into the cage.
Davison swats away the attempt to clinch by Altare.
Davison swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Altare fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Altare jabs Davison right on the nose. Davison blinks but takes it well.
Altare tests Davison's chin there with a solid looking shot.


That has opened up Chris Davison's cut even more.
Davison ducks under a wild hook from Altare.
Davison only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Davison closes the distance and clinches up with Altare, looking for a takedown. Davison pushes Altare against the cage but Altare circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
John Altare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Davison.
Altare looks to throw the jab but Davison is out of range.
Altare misses with a wild body shot.
And Davison responds with a good body kick, but Altare manages to step out the way in time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Altare lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Davison backwards.
Altare lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Davison backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Altare struggles to land a body shot inside as Davison controls his hands.
Davison is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Altare is defending well.
Altare lands with a left to the head.


The cut above Chris Davison's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Davison is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Altare tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Davison's elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Altare dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Davison shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Altare as he avoids it easily.
Decent striking displayed by Altare there.
Altare pounces like a tiger and cracks Davison with a vicious hook! Davison is down but not out! Altare follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). John Altare!
John Altare seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
