Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lee drops an elbow to the side of Adler's head.
Adler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Adler controlling Lee's posture.
Lee preventing the sweep.
Lee throws a big elbow that misses.
Adler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Adler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Adler lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Adler is working Lee over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Adler is controlling him.
Adler passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Adler lands a few punches from side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Adler wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

Adler cracks Lee with a big elbow.
Lee pushes Adler away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Adler gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Lee is rocked!
Adler slows the pace down.
Oh Lee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big shot lands for Adler! That's hurt Lee! Will he recover? Adler fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephen Adler!
Stephen Adler was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
