The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wainamoinen stuffs the takedown attempt from Hogg. Hogg gets slowly back to his feet.
JD Hogg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hogg is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hogg shoots in for a takedown but Wainamoinen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hogg is defended easily by Wainamoinen.

Wainamoinen lands with an uppercut that bounces Hogg off the ropes and back into range.

and Wainamoinen counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Hogg! He's just covering up as Wainamoinen starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
